Rules of the League

GENERAL
  • The league is open to all clubs within travelling distance of Aire Valley Archery Club.
  • Individuals may take part in the individual leagues
  • Club teams consist of the best four scorers each month
  • Individual archers may join the Oddfellows and take part in the team event.
  • No limit on the number of archers from one club.

AWARDS
  • There will be individual trophies for the best  Lady, Gentleman and Junior archers.
  • There will be a trophy for the best team
  • There will be  trophies for the most improved archer, Jack & Jill, and highest unrewarded score.
RULES FOR THE AWARDS
  • The individual awards will be made on the basis of the aggregated of the archer's best three scores.
  • The team trophy will be awarded to the team which has the highest aggregate score over the team's best three months. The team does not have to be made up of the same four archers each month.
  • The most improved archer will be awarded to the archer who has improved his or her score the most over the duration of the competition.
  • Ties will be determined by highest score on the day, then golds.
These rules will apply for the 2006/07 competition but may be changed in subsequent years.
