Welcome Welcome to the home page of the Airedale Longbow League. This league is open to club teams and individuals and is shot for each month at the Oakbank Leisure Centre, Keighley. The first match of 2008/09 was shot on Saturday 15th November and we have now completed the five matches more... When is next match? The league is shot on the THIRD SATURDAY of each month November to March. We will resume the series in November 2009. All wielders of the longbow residing in Airedale or nearby are invited to take part. _____________________________________________________________________

Mouse God, Oh so fair,
Standing still, Just over there, I put my pile on your Muff, Because its white and looks like fluff, Guide my arrow straight and bold, Into the centre of the Gold, Thanks Geoff Rhodes for the gift so fine, But now the little Mouse is mine.

___________________________________________________________________________ There is a roll of honour for any archer scoring three 10s in an end, 100 for a dozen or a score of over 400. ![]() INDOOR LEAGUE The league was the inspiration of Robert Powell and the committee of Aire Valley Archery Club. The aim of the league is to encourage longbow archery amongst the clubs in the Airedale area. So far members of the following clubs have taken part: Adwalton AC
Aire Valley Archers Bowmen of Adel Bronte Archers Panda Bowmen St.George's, Harrogate White Rose There are matches held once a month on the second Saturday of each month between November and April. At the end of the season, trophies will be awarded for- Highest overall score Lady
